Another successful HAF (Holiday Activity Fund) programme delivered over the past five weeks through the summer holidays. We have been offering a free playscheme to over 40 local young people aged 6-13 years through providing daily a healthy breakfast and lunch, alongside nutritional education, enriching and physical activities. Children from over Camden were able to take part in some amazing activities such as fashion shows where they designed and made their own clothes, paper mache hot air balloons, junk modelling, tie dye socks and hair scrunchies and marble printing. With daily offsite trips to places such as The Pirate castle, Highbury fields, Aqua splash at Stratford, The Emirates stadium and much more!
With lots of new activities and trips going on at the centre we have also been lucky enough to offer young people paid job opportunities supporting them with their sports and community NVQ’s.
The NW5 Project would like to thank, Young Camden Foundation and Camden Council who support the HAF Programme for providers like us to deliver projects to children and young people in Camden. Also, a special Thanks to our Play Consortium and Pace Play Providers who lead on the programme with the Play Providers.
