On a very windy Friday, during the half term we attended the Camden Youth Awards and WON an award for best Youth Provision highlighting the work we do in our partnership with the Count me in project and Somers town youth centre! This partnerships has been running now for over four years, the partnership developed by bringing together three groups together through a youth evening held at Somers Town, the aims behind this was to be more inclusive and including all young people into group sessions and youth activities together breaking down barriers that may have been in place, including postcode barriers so young people from across the London Borough Of Camden. Since the partnership we now see young people travelling to and from each centres independently to attend other youth activities, friendships have been built and made. Since the partnership with been on many trips and Residential’s together, the last one in October to Stubbers Adventure Centre.
It is a a privilege to work with both Somers Town and Count Me In Projects, so glad the work we all do together is being recognised. It truly is an amazing partnership which works with so many young people. Here’s to the next busy year planning and delivering brilliant sessions, workshops, trips and Residential’s together.
