Introducing Our Community Champions Programme

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Community Champions programme, led by Maimouna and Paula, two local residents with deep roots in Camden and a passion for supporting their community.

Meet Maimouna
Maimouna brings extensive experience working with people and local communities. She has volunteered her time in various roles, including as a trustee for NW5 Project and Kentish Town Primary School. As a Camden resident herself, she is deeply embedded in local work and is excited to take on this new role, connecting with residents and championing positive change across the area.

Meet Paula
Paula has lived and worked in Camden her whole life, bringing years of experience managing services in play and youth work. A strong partner to local schools, she will also lead the programme alongside Maimouna, helping to strengthen connections across the community and ensure residents’ voices are heard.

Engaging the Community
Over the past few weeks, Maimouna and Paula have been out in the community, meeting residents and discovering all the wonderful activities and initiatives happening across Kentish Town. Their focus is on health and well-being, supporting residents on the Peckwater, Torriano, Kenbrook, Kentish Town, Rowstock, and Oseney Crescent estates.

The Community Champions programme aims to celebrate local achievements, create opportunities for residents to get involved, and ensure that everyone has access to support and activities that make a difference in their daily lives.
