Winter HAF Programme: Fun, Reflection, and Looking Ahead

This winter, our Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme was in full swing, offering an exciting range of activities for young people aged 6 to 18. Over the course of four sessions, we had the privilege of working with 40 children a day, creating opportunities for fun, connection, and meaningful reflection as we closed out the year.

Our younger group enjoyed action-packed days out, including a trip to the cinema and an adventure at the zoo. These outings provided a chance for the children to explore, learn, and share experiences with their peers while creating lasting memories.

For our older youths, the programme offered something a little different. They opted for a thrilling day of go-karting, followed by a meal out where they could relax, bond, and reflect on the past year. This time together wasn’t just about celebrating—it was also a chance to discuss their hopes for the future. During the meal, we had some meaningful conversations about what they would like to see happen at NW5 in 2025 and their personal goals for the year ahead. Hearing their thoughts, dreams, and ideas was inspiring, and it reminded us why we do what we do: to support and empower young people to thrive and reach their potential.

We want to say a big thank you to Young Camden Foundation and PACE for partnering with us to make this programme possible. Your support played a huge role in helping us deliver such an impactful set of activities.

Finally, we’d like to extend a sincere apology to any families who were affected by a technical issue with our booking system. We did our best to make space for everyone, and we hope to welcome you all to our schemes in 2025. Your patience and understanding mean so much to us, and we’re committed to improving for the future.

We’re so proud of the energy, enthusiasm, and creativity our young people brought to the programme. Their input and participation are what make NW5 such a special place.

As we move into 2025, we’re excited to continue building on these moments—providing spaces where children and young people can explore, grow, and make their voices heard. A huge thank you to everyone who made this winter programme a success!
