Our Summer HAF Programme has now come to an end after four busy weeks of activities for children and young people during the school holidays.
Throughout the programme, children took part in a varied timetable of sports, games, creative activities and group challenges, with plenty of opportunities to try something new and spend time with friends.
A Busy Four Weeks
Each week brought a different mix of activities, giving children the chance to stay active and engaged throughout the summer break.
Alongside the activities, children received a nutritious meal each day as part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.
The aim was simple: to provide a safe and welcoming place where children could enjoy their holidays, stay active, eat well and socialise.
Building Skills and Confidence
While having fun is an important part of the programme, the sessions also gave children opportunities to develop their confidence, communication and teamwork.
Over the four weeks, it was great to see children become more comfortable within the group, build new friendships and get involved in activities they might not normally have the chance to try.
A Couple of Team Updates
As we finish the summer, we also have a couple of changes within the team.
We’re saying farewell to Harry, and we’d like to thank him for all his hard work and everything he has contributed during his time with us. We wish him all the best for what comes next.
Ruby also won’t be around quite as much as she takes on a new role at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Thankfully, it’s not goodbye Ruby will be back working with us during the school holidays, and we wish her all the best in her new role.

A big thank you to all of our staff who have worked hard over the past four weeks to keep everything running and make sure the children had a good summer with us.
We’d also like to give a special thank you to our volunteer Leo, who gave up his time to join us and share his arts and crafts skills with the children. It was great to have him as part of the programme and to give the children the chance to get creative and learn something different.
And finally, thank you to all the children and families who joined us over the four weeks.
It’s been a busy summer, and we hope everyone who attended enjoyed being part of it.
