We provided a safe and fun haven for over 65 young people aged 6 to 19 years, attending our free playscheme from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. It was wonderful to see lots of new faces, as well as our regular users, enjoying their time at the center. We had a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and more. Additionally, we organized exciting offsite trips to places such as the Pirate Castle, ice skating, bowling, and much more. It was a joy to see everyone having such a great time!
The feedback and support from parents/carers were amazing, especially with praise towards all our trainee play workers who dedicated their time throughout the holidays. They engaged the children in various activities, from playing football on the big pitch to organizing bike and scooter rides, baking sessions, and much more. It was heartwarming to see the positive impact they had on the children, and we are grateful for their dedication and enthusiasm!
This was all made possible through our partnership with Camden Play Consortium and PACE, who took the lead in securing funding and providing extra support through the Young Camden Foundation and The HAF (Holiday Activity Fund). Without this funding, we wouldn’t be able to deliver these provisions, so a big thank you to everyone who makes it possible. Everyone at NW5, from our staff to the children, young people, and parents/carers, truly values this support.
