May Half-Term Programme: Empowering Older Youths Through Entrepreneurship

During the May half-term, our organisation had the incredible opportunity to work with older youths on an exciting initiative aimed at fostering teamwork, entrepreneurial skills, and community spirit. Partnering with the iconic Camden Market, we set up a vibrant lemonade stall, selling freshly made lemonade to the bustling crowds.

Over the course of two days, more than 15 young people generously volunteered their time and energy to support this cause. They were actively involved in every aspect of the project, from preparing and selling the lemonade to engaging with customers and sharing the purpose behind our efforts.

The results were outstanding! Thanks to their hard work and the generous support of the community, we raised over £1,500. This funding will directly contribute to the free provisions we offer to children, young people, and their families, ensuring access to valuable resources and opportunities.

This initiative not only raised vital funds but also served as a meaningful experience for the young people involved. It allowed them to develop confidence, communication skills, and a sense of responsibility while giving back to their community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Camden Market, the young volunteers, and everyone who supported our lemonade stall. Together, we’ve made a significant step toward sustaining the vital programmes that empower and uplift local families.
