We had a fun and busy summer overall with running a five week playscheme for children and young people 6-13 years, Older youths programme 11-18years and the trainee programme! We had many trips, workshops and activities take place on-site at NW5 and we visited many local places such as Highgate Woods, Talacre, Ally Pally, Archway Swimming pool and much more! We also was lucky enough to be able to visit Thorpe Park, Margate Beach Lakeside Aquatics where we had the best time being outdoors rain or sun!

The older youths even managed to squeeze in a long weekend away to a Caravan site, the weather really wasn’t in our side and it rained 99% of the time but we made the most of it and actually enjoyed some chill time with each other!

Our trainees need a special mention for their hard work and dedication to working and making sure everyone had a great summer all while learning how to be a good play/ youth worker! They entertained and made sure everyday was a day to remember from Nathan bringing the speaker outside, BB entertaining on the Mic, Jayden and Kian making sure the big football pitch was used and games were played from football, tennis and Hockey! Macy starting her new role as Central support Worker and making sure bookings and the summer was delivered to plan, Milly often by the climbing frame and playiny infected with the children and Ruby Ruby Ruby making sure all the trainees are working as hard as her!

Massive thanks to everyone who made it happen all staff who worked so so hard, young people who came and made it one of the best summers so far, Volunteers especially Leo who volunteered two days a week throughout the summer delivering outdoor art sessions and providing art activities that everyone really enjoyed and was able to take their art home as well as display it up and around the project and of course parents/ caters for signing up and using our provisions!

Summer was funded through Young Camden Foundation through the HAF (Holiday Activity Fund) and we partnered with other organisations on trips and activities. Thankyou to everyone who made it possible. We worked with over 55 registered children per day all by providing free play and youth provisions and provided two meals a day, breakfast and lunch.

Roll on Summer 2024!
