What a fantastic May half-term we’ve had at NW5 Community Play Project!
Throughout the week, children and young people enjoyed a packed programme of activities designed to keep them active, creative, and connected with friends old and new.
Alongside arts and crafts, sports, team games, outdoor play, and creative activities at the centre, we also enjoyed some brilliant trips throughout the week. Children took part in an all-day picnic at Hampstead Heath with the whole centre, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine, play games, and spend quality time together outdoors. We also visited Sobell Soft Play, headed to the cinema for a movie trip, and enjoyed an adventure-filled day at Pirate Castle. These trips gave children the chance to explore new places, build confidence, make memories, and most importantly, have fun with their friends.
Playschemes are about much more than keeping children occupied during the holidays, they provide a safe and welcoming space where children can learn new skills, develop confidence, develop friendships, and simply enjoy being children.
As always, none of this would have been possible without our amazing staff team, volunteers, and community partners who work so hard to create positive experiences for local children and families. We would also like to thank all of the parents and carers for their continued support and for trusting us with your children during the school holidays.
Most importantly, thank you to all of the children who attended. Your energy, enthusiasm, and smiles made the week so special, and we loved seeing you all having fun together.
We’re already planning for the summer! Our programme and bookings will be available soon, but we can confirm that our Summer Playscheme will be running from 3rd August to 28th August 2026.
Please make sure to keep an eye out for our programme and booking information. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another summer full of fun, adventure, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
